The new runway at Velana International Airport (VIA) has been opened along with ‘Noovilu’ Seaplane Terminal.
This is a runway built to the ‘Code F’ standard. With 3,400ft long and 60 meters width, the ‘Code F’ standard runway will have the capacity to manage the world’s largest airlines.
This new runway will reduce the time it takes to land and park flights at the airport.
